Companionship

More than friendly conversation, a professional caregiver offers person-centered care with a focus on the vital role of companionship. compassionate care is a key part of senior care, regardless of the level of assistance one requires. Referred Care Providers offer companionship and emotional support, just as a family member or friend would. Compatibility and continuity is critical when companionship is a primary focus, particularly when assisting clients with cognitive impairment or dementia.

Our Area Manager will meet with you or your loved one to better understand their support needs and will make every effort to make the best possible care provider match. Our goal with focusing on compassionate care is to refer to care provider(s) that are engaging, caring and supportive. We often introduce care providers to ensure your loved one, as well as the care provider(s) are compatible and comfortable working together. Contact Us today to learn more about this.

Transportation

A professional caregiver can fulfill most transportation needs, including medical appointments, rehab, same-day surgery, errands, faith-based services, and more.

Light Housekeeping

A professional caregiver will help tend to the living space of the clients they care for. For example, making certain fresh linens and towels are clean and changed routinely.

Meal Preparation

Meal planning and cooking becomes a highlight in the day for our clients when a professional caregiver prepares a favourite recipe or dining experience. We are also happy to share a meal at a favourite restaurant.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care

Our professional caregivers are trained in understanding best practices for both short-term and long-term memory loss.

24 Hour In Home Care

The benefit of having 24 hour home care is that a caregiver will be with a client at all times. Having two or three caregivers means that there will always be someone supervising the client – whether it’s the middle of the afternoon or the middle of the night. Some people prefer this option as they believe caregivers are more refreshed and alert since there is at least one caregiver rotation in a 24 hour period.

There is also the peace of mind that comes with knowing you’ll always have someone ready to take care of any situations or needs that may arise at any time throughout the 24-hour period.

Live Out Care

This option is just how it sounds. One or more caregivers would tend to your loved one during the day and sleep in the home at night, making them more accessible when needed. These caregivers will sleep in the home and awaken at night to assist your loved one. You would provide the caregiver with sleeping quarters. For the client who cannot be alone due to conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s but may not need constant medical care, live-in services may be the best option.

The hours and type of care provided can be tailored to meet your loved one’s specific needs, giving family members assurance that their loved one is looked after at all times.

Private Mental Health Social Worker

Living with a mental illness can present challenges for many individuals, families, and communities.

For some people, mental illnesses can make day to day life difficult. Mental health social workers play a critical role in improving overall wellbeing and mental health in our society.

They spend their time assessing, diagnosing, treating and preventing mental, behavioral and emotional issues. Some mental illnesses that they address include depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder.

In addition to working with clients directly, they also provide therapy in individual, group and family settings, depending on the circumstances. If you have a passion for helping those who are challenged with living with mental illness, a mental health social work profession may be right for you.

Private Mental Health Crisis Worker

Crisis programs support individuals in crisis and provide continued service based on urgency, so they are able to remain in their homes rather than in hospital.

These crisis programs are available for individuals currently accessing mental health care services, as well as those requiring mental health care services for the first time. The crisis programs are fully integrated and coordinated with the hospital’s Mental Health program and the broader mental health care system.
